OUR SERVICES
So you and your vet can sleep at night, we don’t.
Vet24 provides the ideal environment for treatment and care of critically ill pets. That’s why so many vets trust us and are happy to use our services after their surgery closes for the day. You can leave your pet with us, knowing they are in the best hands. Our team of experienced critical care nurses and vets will continuously monitor your pet and have the best available facilities to aid recovery.
But it doesn’t have to be an emergency to be important to Vet24. Often we don’t realise our pets are out of sorts until past suppertime. Sometimes niggling symptoms can seem more worrying as darkness falls. Whatever the reason, it’s good to know you can call our Vet24 Nurse Advice Line for round-the-clock reassurance. If there is any doubt whatsoever, our team will be happy to see you and your pet…even if it’s just to put your mind at rest and give you a night of sleep.
Niggling doubts…full emergencies
Often we don’t realise our pets are out of sorts until past suppertime. Sometimes niggling symptoms can seem more worrying as darkness falls.
Whatever the reason, it’s good to know you can call our Vet24 Nurse Advice Line for round-the-clock reassurance. If there is any doubt whatsoever, our team will be happy to see you and your pet. It doesn’t have to be an emergency to be important to Vet24.
Vet24 Nurse Advice Line
At Vet24 our team of vets and nurses work in shifts to cover 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. So, if you want advice in the middle of the night about any pet niggles, doubts or worries, you won’t be waking anybody up if you give us a call.
Our telephone numbers will take you straight through to our Emergency Nurse on duty who can advise you on whether a visit is necessary. But remember, we are happy to see you and your pet whatever the problem.
Transfer of pets
Just like the A&E of an NHS hospital, our Vet24 vets and nurses need to be on site to receive emergencies and to care for in-patients at all times. Coming out to you at home would put animal lives at risk and lose valuable time in treating your pet. In the event that you cannot arrange transport for yourself our team will advise on how to get your pet in to us either by ambulance or local taxi.
Your regular ‘daytime’ vet may want to transfer your pet from their surgery to Vet24 overnight. This guarantees continuous monitoring in an environment best suited for the care of critically ill pets. We can arrange such transfers in conjunction with your vet.
Working with your vet
We work in partnership with regular ‘daytime’ vets in the vicinity of Cambridge, Hertfordshire and London to provide out of hours cover for the pets under their care.
Our team work shifts to cover 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. In this way, we can provide your pet with genuinely 24-hour care using state-of-the-art facilities and equipment designed for the care of critically ill pets. That’s why so many vets trust and use us.
You don’t have to worry about waking anybody up when you call us and you can rest assured that we will be in direct communication with your vet in the morning to make sure that everybody is well informed of the situation. By getting a good night of sleep, you can be confident that your usual vet will be in top shape to look after all the pets under his or her care during the daytime.
